These Terms of Service explain the rules for using efwa.co.uk, creating an account and purchasing EFWA’s digital online courses.

2. Scope

These terms apply when you browse the website, create an account, purchase a course or access EFWA’s digital learning materials. Course-specific information shown on the relevant course and checkout pages forms part of the contract.

3. Course information, prices and orders

• Course descriptions, included materials and current prices are shown before purchase.
• Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include applicable taxes where required.
• Your order is accepted when payment is confirmed and EFWA sends an order or enrolment confirmation.
• If an obvious pricing or technical error affects an order, EFWA will contact you and, where necessary, cancel and refund the affected payment.

4. Digital access

Courses are digital products. Access is normally added to the learner account after successful payment. If paid access does not appear, contact EFWA at info@efwa.co.uk.

You are responsible for using a supported browser, a suitable device and a stable internet connection. This does not affect your rights where EFWA’s digital content is faulty, unavailable or not as described.

5. Learner accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. Course access is personal and must not be shared, sold or transferred. Tell EFWA promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.

EFWA courses are intended for adults unless a course page states otherwise. A learner under 18 must have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

6. Licence and acceptable use

A purchase gives you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use the course content for your own learning. Unless EFWA gives written permission, you must not copy, redistribute, record, scrape, resell or publicly upload lessons, downloads, assessments or certificate materials.

EFWA may restrict access where there is credible evidence of account sharing, unlawful use, security abuse or infringement of intellectual property. We will act proportionately and will not restrict statutory consumer rights.

7. Assessments and certificates

Where a programme includes assessment, the published requirements must be met before a certificate is issued. EFWA may use identity and academic-integrity checks where reasonably necessary.

An EFWA certificate records learning and assessment completed through EFWA. It is not a regulated qualification unless the relevant course page expressly states otherwise and identifies the applicable awarding or regulatory basis. Learners should check any requirements imposed by an employer, insurer or professional body before purchasing.

8. Cancellation and refunds

For distance contracts, UK consumer law normally provides a 14-day cancellation period. For digital content supplied during that period, EFWA will treat the cancellation right for the digital-content part as lost only where the learner has expressly consented to supply beginning during the cancellation period and has acknowledged that the right will be lost once supply begins.

If a learner expressly asks EFWA to begin any included tutor, assessment or support services during the 14-day cancellation period, the learner may still cancel that service part before it is fully performed, although a proportionate amount for services already supplied may be payable. The cancellation right for that service part is lost only once it has been fully performed after the required request and acknowledgement.

These rules do not affect rights concerning faulty, unavailable or misdescribed digital content, or services not provided with reasonable care and skill. Full details, cancellation instructions and the model cancellation form are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Payments and instalments

Available payment methods and any instalment terms are shown at checkout. Payment information is processed by the selected payment provider; EFWA does not store full card numbers.

If an instalment plan is offered, the checkout information will state whether it is a recurring subscription or a fixed-price course paid in instalments. Cancelling a payment instruction does not by itself resolve amounts already due under a valid agreement. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

10. Service availability

EFWA uses reasonable care to maintain the learning platform, but maintenance and events outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect access. Report persistent access problems so that they can be investigated and addressed.

11. Intellectual property

Course videos, written materials, graphics, assessments, logos and trade marks are owned by EFWA or used under licence. No intellectual-property rights are transferred to you except for the personal study licence described in section 6.

12. Liability and statutory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

EFWA is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase. Nothing in these terms affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under consumer law.

13. Privacy and communications

Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Marketing communications are optional and can be unsubscribed from at any time.

14. Complaints and support

For access, cancellation, refund or complaint requests, email info@efwa.co.uk with your full name, account email and order number. EFWA aims to acknowledge messages within two business days.

15. Changes to these terms

EFWA may update these terms to reflect changes in services or law. The current version and effective date will be published on this page. Changes will not remove rights that already apply to a completed purchase.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, any mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules that apply in the part of the United Kingdom or other country where you live are preserved.
