Professional scope matters
EFWA massage and therapy courses are educational programmes. Completing a course does not by itself authorise medical diagnosis, treatment of injury, regulated healthcare practice or invasive practice where separate legal, professional, insurance or employer requirements apply. This is particularly important for dry needling and other techniques whose permitted use can depend on profession and jurisdiction.
Level and diploma terminology
Where a course title uses Level or Diploma terminology, that wording describes EFWA’s course structure and does not by itself mean that the programme is an Ofqual-regulated qualification. EFWA certificates evidence the learning and assessment completed through EFWA. Review the current Certificate & Qualification Status page before enrolling.
Choosing a massage or therapy course
Choose the programme that matches the techniques you intend to learn and the professional setting in which you expect to use them. Compare anatomy content, screening, contraindications, practical requirements and professional scope before enrolling.
Are EFWA massage courses medical qualifications?
No. EFWA massage and therapy courses are educational programmes and do not by themselves authorise medical diagnosis or regulated healthcare practice.
Why are screening and contraindications included?
Massage and soft-tissue work should begin with appropriate client consultation, risk awareness and recognition of situations in which a technique should be modified, postponed or referred.
Does a Dry Needling course automatically allow me to practise?
No. Eligibility to practise dry needling can depend on profession, jurisdiction, insurance and employer requirements. Check the rules that apply to you before enrolling or practising.
