Anatomy Focus
See the movement.
Understand why.
Watch the movement alongside synchronised on-screen anatomy explanations. Follow the working muscles, stabilisers and joint actions as the exercise unfolds, reinforcing what you have learnt in your theory lessons. Connecting anatomy with practical demonstration helps you understand not just how a movement is performed, but why you would choose it and what you are asking the body to do.

Follow the movement and its muscle explanations together. The on-screen panels help connect your theory lessons with the exercise being demonstrated.

See the anatomical explanation alongside the practical movement, helping you connect muscle function, stabilisation and exercise execution.

What you will study
Understand the systems.
Apply the knowledge.
The Master programme connects a shared scientific foundation with Mat, Reformer, Pregnancy and Kids Pilates practice. These six theory lessons give context to the movements and teaching choices you study.
Skeletal System
Explore bones and joints as the structural foundation of movement. Connect this knowledge with joint actions, alignment and the positions used in Pilates.
Muscular System
Study muscle structure and function. Build a foundation for understanding the muscles producing, stabilising and controlling a movement.
Energy Systems
Explore how the body supplies energy for activity. Connect exercise physiology with the physical demands of practice and exercise selection.
Respiratory System
Study the structures and functions involved in breathing. Relate this theoretical foundation to breathing cues and movement during practice.
Cardiovascular System: Heart
Explore the heart and its role in circulation. Build your understanding of the physiological support behind physical activity.
Cardiovascular System: Blood Vessels
Study blood vessels and circulation, extending your understanding of how the cardiovascular system supports the body during activity.
Theoretical foundations: Locomotor System Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, and Anatomy and Physiology.
