Academic Profile
Assoc. Prof. Dr Nurcan Demirel is an Associate Professor at Atatürk University Faculty of Sport Sciences. Her current institutional appointment is in Sport Management Sciences, and she also serves as Deputy Head of the Department of Coaching Education.
She completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University and received her PhD from Marmara University in 2009. Her doctoral work examined whole-body vibration training and healthy ageing in premenopausal women.
Teaching & Research
Her academic work spans exercise across the lifespan, psychomotor development and learning, gymnastics, healthy ageing, physical activity and motor performance. Her teaching record includes exercise for children, women and older adults, psychomotor development and learning, talent identification and basic gymnastics.
