EFWA’s status as an education provider

European Fitness and Wellness Academy Ltd (EFWA) is a UK-based independent education provider. EFWA develops and delivers its own online and blended learning programmes in fitness and wellness subjects.

What an EFWA certificate means

An EFWA certificate records that the learner has completed the learning and assessment requirements stated for the relevant EFWA programme. It is a provider-issued certificate and evidences the learning and competence demonstrated through EFWA.

Is an EFWA certificate an Ofqual-regulated qualification?

No, unless a specific course page expressly states that the programme leads to a regulated qualification and identifies the relevant regulated awarding organisation and qualification. EFWA’s standard provider-issued certificates should not be understood as Ofqual-regulated qualifications.

UK regulated qualifications can be checked using the official GOV.UK Register of Regulated Qualifications.

External endorsement, membership or collaboration

Where a particular EFWA programme has a current external endorsement, membership relationship or collaboration, EFWA will identify the organisation and the scope of that relationship on the relevant course page. An external endorsement or membership should not be interpreted as government regulation, an Ofqual-regulated qualification, or a guarantee that every employer, studio, professional body or insurer will accept the certificate.

Professional use of an EFWA certificate

Requirements for working as an instructor can differ by country, employer, studio, professional body and insurer. Before purchasing, learners should check the requirements that apply to the role and organisation in which they intend to work and compare those requirements with the course description and assessment information.

How EFWA describes its programmes

EFWA aims to describe each programme by its actual curriculum, delivery format, assessment requirements and certificate outcome. Course titles or marketing descriptions should not be treated as evidence of regulatory status. Where regulatory status matters, the relevant awarding organisation and official qualification details should be verified independently.

Before you enrol

  • Read the full course description and learning outcomes.
  • Check the assessment and certificate information.
  • Confirm any employer, studio or insurer requirements that apply to your intended work.
  • If you need a specifically regulated qualification, verify it on the official UK register before purchasing.
  • If anything is unclear, contact EFWA at info@efwa.co.uk before enrolling.
